Some of the software written in the profi project is available for free use. You can use and distribute it under the terms of the GNU General Public License as published by the Free Software Foundation, either version 3 of the License, or (at your option) any later version.

The zipfile contains:

• a Readme file that documents the usage of the programs
• RandAlign.jar, a java program to align two shapes and compute their similarity
• a helper program to convert a Scalable Vector Graphics (svg) file to the profi shape format
• a specification of the profi shape format
